Quitman Branch Manager:

As Branch Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Quitman branch, develop business by initiating and building strong relationships with new and existing members, coach, mentor, and develop the staff, generate and increase loan and deposit volume, uncover members needs and develop products designed to meet those needs. Also, supervise and direct the branch staff to coordinate daily work flow and time off, ensure audit and compliance measures are met daily, serve as a back up to the tellers, order money, refill the ATM, perform member service duties, lending duties and make sure the building and grounds are maintained. The ideal candidate for the position will have a proven track record for producing, coaching, and leading staff members. At least five years of management experience is desired, must be able to work as a team, have intuitive to get things done, be able to multi task, and complete deadlines.

Loan Assistant, Meridian Office:

1st Mississippi F.C.U. is seeking a loan officer assistant. The candidate will join a high energy, fast paced, team centered environment, where teamwork and attention to detail are highly valued.

Primary duties include answering phone calls, taking loan applications, setting up appointments, and assisting the loan officers and members. You will assist in delivering a seamless and expeditious loan process while providing excellent customer service to the members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Answer the phone

·         Assist members with general loan related questions

·         Input loan application data into the system

·         Actively reach out to inform the members in regard to their loans and the documents needed

·         Serve as the primary contact during the contact to contract phase and be a liaison between members and loan officer

·         Process documents received for each file

·         Pull credit reports and handle title work or any other documents needed for the completion of the loan

·         Provide quotes as needed on loan payments and loan values

·         Help track and correct loan corrections

·         Coordination of loan closing between members and loan officer

·         Prepare loan documents when necessary

·         Handle member loan signing when necessary

·         Present and explain credit union services and products to members

·         Process loan cancellations/denials and adverse action letters

·         Follow up with members

·         Assist in other task and projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

·         Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions

·         Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and manage your time effectively

·         Must be a creative thinker and proactive problem solver, able to meet deadlines and follow projects through to completion.

·         Proficient with Word

·         Must be able to work a computer and customary office machines such as an adding machine, a phone system, a fax machine, etc.


·         Some lending experience preferred, but will train the right candidate

·         High school diploma or GED

·         Have a passion for quality and a “can do” attitude

·         Must be available to work 8:30 to 5:00 M-F
